Distinguishing between wet paint companies can be a complicated task, with a number of factors influencing your choice of suppliers. As one of the leading wet paint companies in the midlands, we’ve listed some of the key facilities that we believe makes us the best choice for a complete metal finishing package.
Industry-leading bay capacity
As an industrial metal finisher, our bays are built to accommodate large and heavy products. Because of this, our wet paint booth is able to process parts up to 6 m in length and as heavy as 1150kg. This means that you will be hard-pressed to find a part that is too big for us to process. For smaller, more numerous parts, we have a multipurpose, automated track that can process smaller parts much more efficiently, resulting in a lower cost for you, the customer. The multipurpose track also allows us to quickly change between different paint products, which means that smaller production runs are possible.
Complete metal finishing package
Another component that sets us apart from other wet paint companies, is the range of supporting processes that we are able to offer. In an ideal world, parts will arrive ready to process, but we know that this isn’t always the case. Parts may be rusty, previously coated, or fabricated in a way that requires further preparation before it can be processed. At Pym & Wildsmith, we have all of
the facilities required to provide a complete metal finishing package, whether this is shot blasting to prepare the material for coating, or E-coating to provide enhanced corrosion resistance to the finished product.
Despite their differences, both of these parts need preparation before they can be coated.
Automated track for efficient processing of small parts
Like our Powder coating, we have a dedicated, multi-purpose track that allows us to process large quantities of parts on a production line, reducing the impact that drying time has when operating a wet paint booth. Additionally, the track allows for force drying of the parts between coats, as well as transporting finished parts to the packaging area without the need for additional resources to relocate the parts.
