Shot Blasting

Our shot blasting service is used to prepare a surface ready for paint or powder adhesion. Shot blast cleaning involves a high velocity controlled stream of abrasive shot material being fired at the surface. It removes any scale or rust, providing a clean and smooth base to work with. Our shot blasting service also removes any previous coating of powder, or paint, from the subject.

Powder Coating

Our powder coating service is an advanced technique that creates a tougher and longer-lasting finish than standard paint. The process involves three different steps. Firstly, a pre-treatment is used to improve the bonding of the metal to paint. Then there is a powder application using nozzles, and finally, the curing. Powder coating is the ideal industrial service to use if you require both a decorative and protective layer over your project.

Wet Painting

By pumping spray through a small opening under extremely high pressure, we can spray paint your project to the required colour and number of coats. Here at Pym & Wildsmith, our booths can accommodate components up to 4m in length, by 2.5m x 2.5m. To ensure even the larger items receive maximum coverage, large projects can either be suspended from our ceiling bearers. Alternatively, they can be painted on trolleys or specialised stillages to achieve the optimum finish all over.

E-Coating

For effective corrosive resistance on your components, we offer an e-coating service. Specifically designed to provide excellent corrosive protection, our e-coating applies 100% coverage to the metal. The process is particularly good for painting hard-to-reach areas such as bends and cavities. It is also popularly used in the car manufacturing industry.
