Shot Blasting Companies
The fast and effective way to clean and prepare surfaces
Shot blasting (also known as grit blasting or abrasive blast cleaning) is one of our key methods of surface preparation. We have extensive manual and automatic facilities for this process.
Shot blasting is a surface preparation technique that involves rapidly impacting the surface of an object. This is done with a controlled stream of abrasive shot material at a high velocity. You can use our blasting service to remove scale or rust to provide a clean surface for paint or powder adhesion. The shot we use can also remove any previous coating of powder or paint from any item.

Shot Blasting Booths
Our large manual shot blast booths can accommodate most sizes of components up to 7 meters in length by 5 meters wide and uses G12 chilled iron grit. Our automatic shot blast machine can blast items up to 1m x 1.5m and uses an S230 steel shot. Surface profiles of between 40-60 microns can be achieved and any surface preparation grade based on ISO 8501-1 between SA1 (Light blast cleaning) and SA3 (Blast cleaning to visually clean steel) can be accommodated dependent on customer specifications.
You can use Pym & Wildsmith’s shot blasting service to remove both scale and rust. As a result, this provides a clean surface for paint or powder adhesion. The shot we use can also remove any previous old powder or paint from any item.
