With this in mind, our team will happily talk you through all of our finishing services and offer you expert advice and support if you need it. We can provide a whole range of different project finishes here at Pym and Wildsmith, but one of our most popular choices is our e coating UK service.

What is an e-coat finish?

E-coating is a type of coating that is applied to a surface to prevent damage and corrosion. Adding a finish to your project is a great way to provide it with additional protection that can save you time and money in years to come. By optimising the protection of your project now, you can be sure that it is going to be protected from general wear and wear for much longer than a project that does not have an e-coat finish to it. E-coating is a high-quality paint application that provides long-lasting corrosion resistance to the surface and a strong protective coating against other wear and tear at the same time. The e-coat painting system at Pym and Wildsmith uses highly durable paint that can be used on metal surfaces and other components, providing flawless protection that can last for up to twenty years.

How is e-coat paint applied?

Although considered an advanced finishing process, the e-coat process is incredibly fast and easy to perform. As highly established e-coat suppliers, we proudly boast a full suite of tools and equipment that enables us to apply e-coating to a wide variation of projects, guaranteeing accuracy and quality each and every time. While many finishing processes cannot promise full precision and coverage, e-coating is completed in a way to ensure every part of the surface is covered in the paint, even hard to reach areas such as bends and cavities. First, the surface will undergo any necessary cleaning processes in order to make sure that the surface is fully prepared for the paint application. Any residue or previous finishes are completely removed so that the paint can stick to the surface properly and provide optimal performance. Once prepared, the surface is then completely submerged into a tank of e-coat paint until fully covered, it is then taken out of the tank and left to dry. As proud e coating suppliers, we want to make sure that there is minimal disruption caused to you or your business when we are working with your project, which is why we always aim to provide the fastest turnaround times that we can with all of our services.
